New riders, new horse owners, or experienced riders will gain a wealth of fascinating information that will promote a respectful relationship with a horse.  Most of us were taught to ride without understanding the perspective of the horse.  You will learn how a horse senses, moves, and interacts with each other and other animals, including humans.  Topics include prehistoric development, anatomy/physiology, herd behavior, training techniques, gaits/movements, and communication development.  Experienced riders will enhance their in-the-saddle satisfaction.  If you've never ridden before then this is a great preparation for lessons in the spring.
