COUNSELORS WILL HAVE ALL PAPEWORK, FINAL PAYMENT INFO, AND INTEREST AREA SCHEDULES AT CVU'S MAIN ENTRANCE ON THE FIRST DAY.

CVU SUMMER CAMP - Handbook Information

WELCOME & INTRODUCTIONS

This year’s staff is an eclectic mix of educational professionals, artisans, CVU alums, & current CVU students.  We are all committed to providing a challenging and fun learning experience that will prepare campers for their high school careers.
 
THE DAILY SCHEDULE
Arrival  All campers should arrive & congregate in Rms 104 & 106 (or 204 & 206) for attendance & lunch orders no later than 8:10 am.  See Carpooling resources below.
Team time  Activities designed to learn about CVU and provide positive social interactions.
Interest Areas/Academy  Campers will be given their interest area schedule on the first day.  See TO BRING below for Interest Area supplies.    
Snack/Lunch  Food and drink provided but campers are welcome to bring their own fare.
Departure  Final announcements begin at 1:20 pm.  All campers will be dismissed by 1:25 pm.  Pick ups should be no later than 1:30 pm unless a prior arrangement has been scheduled with Duncan.  See Carpooling resources below.

If you would like to participate in a carpooling cooperative then please register with Duncan.  Please be prepared to provide the following information:

**Contact Duncan if you need to borrow supplies for the following interest areas**
Digital Photography  It is helpful to learn how to take pictures on your own digital camera.  The Camp has a few cameras that students are able to use in small groups.  If you DO NOT plan to bring your own camera then please contact Duncan.
Garage Band  Some previous experience with an instrument is essential to the group.  Please contact Duncan with any concerns about bringing your own instrument.
All Interest Areas  Dress in appropriate clothing for your interest area activities.  It might not be a bad idea to bring an extra set of clothes in a backpack.  Be prepared to have fun and learn new things.  Most rooms are not air-conditioned.
NON-REGISTERED FRIENDS ARE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND DUE TO LIABILITY

Confirm current payments and settle final balance.  All forms and final payments are due on this date unless you notify Duncan in advance.

The CVU Summer Camp serves the students and parents of the Chittenden South Supervisory Union and operates on the tuition of its participants.  It is our goal to provide a distinctive summer experience that promotes learning for the entire community.
